While there is clearly more than one reason to watch Zhang Yimou’s martial arts epic “Curse of the Golden Flower”, I have two more reasons for you: Gong Li’s rack. Yup, that movie was all about Gong Li’s rack, as the director and costume designer had them squeezed into those ridiculously tight corsets. It was probably incredibly painful for the girls, especially star Gong Li (promos from the flick below), but I’m not down on it.
